The resort is located directly on the gently sloping Red Sea coast 30km from Hurghada. Make use of the 6 free quartz sand tennis courts. There are also numerous other sporting activities and an extensive array of wellness treatments at this resort in the diving and snorkelling paradise of Egypt.
The Cleopatra Luxury Resort Makadi Bay, with its own house reef, is situated directly by the Red Sea, between Hurghada (with extensive shopping, restaurants and cafes) and the port town of Safaga. The resort is about 30km from each town. Bus transfer from Hurghada Airport is about 40 minutes.
Sports and Entertainment
The underwater world of Egypt’s Red Sea, with its unmatched colour spectrum and variety of marine life, is an absolute must for all diving enthusiasts. The house reef is accessible from the resort’s own pier.
An extensive variety of sporting activities is included in your holiday price, including table tennis, fitness room, boccia, basketball, mini football, beach volleyball, water polo, billiards and darts and archery.
For an additional charge: Water sports facility with catamaran. The Cleopatra Dive Center offers courses and introduction to diving. Golf is available from an outside provider.
The large wellness facility may be accessed for an additional charge. It has Jacuzzi/whirlpool, hamam, steam bath, sauna, massages and beauty treatments.
During the day there are various multilingual group entertainment activities and the evening entertainment consists of shows and live music. There is also a disco.
The Hippo Kids Club is available for children from age 4-12. There are two covered and heatable children’s pools, playground and kids menus in the restaurant, as well as babysitting service (upon request, additional charge).
The six well-maintained artificial grass courts with quartz sand all have floodlights and are located in the sports area of the resort. Sports bar with pretty terrace and views over the tennis courts. Tennis information centre and shop located by the courts. Court rental is free of charge, flood lights and rackets at extra charge.
The 530 tastefully-decorated rooms are contained in two- and three-floor buildings. Facilities include resort reception and lobby bar, seating area, main restaurant, a-la-carte restaurants, a variety of bars (including the “Divers Bar”), shisha corner (additional charge), shops, hairdressers and discotheque. WIFI access in public areas is free of charge.
Located within the garden area are six swimming pools with children’s pool and pool bar. Use of sun loungers, parasols and towels is included.
