The Junior Academy at La Manga Club, is the ideal place for youngsters to develop an early interest in tennis, improve their performance or take part in junior competitions.

Offering group coaching for abilities within each age group, they cover all major aspects of the game in a fun, yet competitive way.

The program includes

2 hours of training per day (9 to 19 years old) and 1 to 2 hours of training for under 9 years, from Monday to Friday

  • Monday: Footwork
  • Tuesday: Forehands and serve
  • Wednesday: Backhands, serve and return
  • Thursday: Net play and points
  • Friday: Review and fun tournament

To help you reach your full potential during your time at La Manga Club, every player that attends the Adult/Junior Academies will be entitled to the following special benefits:

  • Welcome and farewell drinks
  • Sunday welcome day
  • Use of Tennis Centre gym (over 16s only)
  • Daily stroke demonstration
  • 10% discount at the pro shop (to be used at point of purchase)
  • Special reduced rates on court hire and additional coaching

Different packages available according to ages:

  • Under 19 years old, Under 15 y.o. and Under 12 y.o.: 2 hour/day, Monday-Friday
  • Green Ball ( 9-10 years old): 2 hour/day, Monday- Friday
  • Orange Ball (7-8 years old): 2 hour/day, Monday to Friday
  • Red ball (4-6 years old): 1 hour/day, Monday to Friday
Itinerary

The La Manga Club Junior Academy is offered to young tennis players in two categories:

  • Under 9's
  • Under 19's - split into three age groups
    • 10 to 12 years
    • 13 to 15 years
    • 16 to 19 years

The Junior Academy runs from Monday to Friday all year and includes daily demonstrations to provide an insight into the game.

Under 9 years old:

  • Following the official ITF guidelines, the academy offers Tennis 10s: slower balls, smaller courts and an easier game for younger players.
  • Helping players to develop their most efficient technique and to implement more advanced tactics than using the yellow ball on the full court, coaches ensure a fantastic, fun experience for all.

It is further split into three age groups:

  • 6 and under, 1 hour/day, 3pm to 4pm (Between July & August it's 6pm to 7pm)
  • 8 and under, 2 hours/day, 9am to 11am
  • 9 and under, 2 hours/day, 9am to 11am

9-19 years old:

​From Monday to Friday, 2 hours per day (11am-1pm)

The programme includes:

Terms
  • To guarantee your reservation, La Manga Club requires that all bookings must be fully paid for at the time of reservation.
  • Full refunds for cancellations will only be given when requested in writing prior to one month before the start date of the reservation.
