Embrace the thrill of playing tennis on the luscious grass courts of the University of Oxford with Jonathan Markson Tennis. 

With 5 hours of tennis coaching each day, from Monday to Saturday (including singles and doubles tournaments), players will develop their skill and winning ability as the week progresses.

Residential and non-residential camps are available in London, Oxford and Yorkshire. Suitable for all levels: kids and adults.

  • 17:00 English lesson (role play e.g. ordering in a restaurant)

About Jonathan Markson Tennis

The International Tennis Camp was established in 1981 by British Tennis Coach, Jonathan Markson. Each Easter (1 week) and summer (9 weeks), top professional players and coaches come together to provide an intensive and stimulating tennis experience.

Jonathan Markson Tennis aims to provide to players of all ages and levels a rewarding and enjoyable tennis experience, where the coaching is serious but fun in an environment that is beautiful and relaxing.

Visit the The University of Oxford

Oxford is a name synonymous with "Education". It is the oldest University in the country and also in the English speaking world and has been teaching students as long back as 1096. A walk through its environs will bring you face to face with the spectacular buildings such as the Clarendon Building (and the more mundane ones like the Wellington Square). A must visit if you are fascinated by architectural surroundings.

Walk by Christ Church Meadow

Make sure to plan a visit to the Christ Church Meadow. The scenic park offers splendid views and is an unmissable experience considering the walk through the meadows and alongside the river banks.

Immerse yourself in the culture at Pitt Rivers Museum

The Pitt Rivers Museum is one of the most popular attractions in Oxford. The Museum boasts of an outstanding collection representing various cultures of the world, both past and present.

Tennis

Enjoy the luscious grass courts of the very prestigious University of Oxford. The University has several tennis facilities representing a total of 30 grass and hard courts however The Jonathan Markson Tennis camps at run at Iffley Road offering 4 hard courts and 6 grass courts. 

Accommodation

  • Lodging in Oxford University college accommodation with full board English lessons provided by the 'Oxford School of English'
  • The Oxford Camp offers a residential tennis package. Players stay in the Oxford University accommodation which is located next to the tennis courts. 
  • Personal transport for children under 18 from and back to main airports and rail stations. 

English classes

A tennis and language programme is available for International students who want to improve their tennis and their English! All English classes are delivered on site and provided by the British Council accredited language school.
